SANTINO MARELLA HAS ANNOUNCED HIS RETIREMENT.

Santino Marella announced his retirement during a live event in Canada. The reason behind this early retirement is due to a neck injury.

It is very heartbreaking to see Santino go out so early. He has had a great run in the WWE for being a midcarder. His first night in WWE he won the Intercontinental title when he defeated the late great Umaga with some help from former WWE superstar and current TNA champ Bobby Lashley.He would end up capturing the IC title on two different occasions. He also Held two other titles the US title and he also became WWE tag team champ with his partner, the former WWE star Vladmir Kozlov. His last match I believe should be a main event WWE title match against Cena at Raw just to send him out with a bang even if he doesn't win, but don't really know if he has one more match left in him.

HIs most memorable moments would be when he was a couple with both Beth Phoenix and Maria Kanellis, his Royal Rumble moment when he and Foley had a dual between Mr. Socko and the Cobra, his first night where he won the IC title, and finally when he had a dance off with Vladmir Kozlov. He'd be a great addition to the Hall of Fame like 5 years from now. WWE probably won't make a big deal off it since he was basically a jobber most of his career.He was just a comic relief.
