The Three Stooges on RAW

I want to talk about the Three Stooges.  There was a lot of mixed reactions on RAW.  This is a bit off WWE topic yet since they were on RAW I believe this is appropriate, but my question is, will you go to see the Three Stooges?  I think the reaction is you have people who love them and accept them, and then there are the others that love them but does not accept this new variation.

Personally speaking, I accept things with a sense of understanding.  So when things like this happen, people want to carry on the legacy.  WWE is famous for this.  To raise up new individuals to keep the show going.  So, when you have 3 people who wanted to portrait our three favorite icons, I only hoped they were true to form.  With all their smacks and slaps, they did pretty good.  From the sounding of the voices to their appearance.  Again I noticed the crowd cheered and gave them a boo throughout.  A very mixed uproar.

Again, I was one who accepted them, found them comical, and true to form for the most part considering these guys are not the originals but are doing a pretty good job.  It is quite to see them in color, if I was going to put a frown on this, but that is not such a bad thing.

I think the majority of the crowd started to warm up when Curly came on stage dressed in full Hulk Hogan gear.  I believe the mind set was that these guys are going too far.  I mean going from one extreme to another.  They put on stooge gear which we know and love, and half us already do not like you.  Now you got a guy who put on a suit of another famous iconic guy who literally changed the face of Wrestling today.  Hulk Hogan.

So you have this chubby man walking down the ramp in red and yellow clothes, the legendary headband, and once in the ring doing the famous shirt rip.  From a few angles he looked like the real deal, and then you hear this high pitch voice come out and immediately you get this sense of a let down, cause in your heart you kind of want it to be Hogan, and yet you know it is not.  The sound of his voice made it evident.

Once Moe smacked the tongue of Curly which then changed his voice to a Hulk Hogan sounding imitation.  Weather it was done by a synthesizer, or the guy can actually make this happen I could not really tell.  So the crowd started to warm up.  The half that already liked them started to like them a little more.  The half that hated these guys for the mockery you noticed that the tables started to turn to accept from many of them.

When Curly is walking around the ring in full Hulk uniform and voice promoting the upcoming movie and using phrases only the Hulk would use, you can hear the crowd more and more starting to respond.  Towards the end of the speech, Kane comes out.  His presence is felt, the stooges knew they were in for it.

Larry and Moe moved like the wind to get out of there, and perhaps Curly was to hefty to move that fast, or what have you, but he decided to stay.  We seen Curly again doing another iconic move, and he was pumping himself up just like the Hulk usually do, and as I was watching and thinking this guy is going to be destroyed, and I knew that the haters in the crowd could not wait to see the pending doom to fall upon this guy, but in the final gesture that Curly was doing, the pumping up and then pointing at Kane, and in a one single moment you see the crowd rallying around Curly and said, "You" at the same time.  As if the haters just said, "Hate no more."  Of course that did not prevent Curly from receiving his Choke Slam.

So tell me, WWE universe were you one who cheered, or were you one who wanted to give them the boot?
