He claims that Cena was beat up so bad that he will never again be the same man. Laurinaitis asserts that Lesnar legitimized the WWE.

He says that Lesnar is a businessman which is why Brock knows that the changes from last week will not hold up. HHH says that he wants Brock in the WWE, as does the WWE Universe. They might not all like him, but it doesn't matter because they want to see him. They want to see a rematch with John Cena, they want to see him face CM Punk, Orton, Sheamus and others. HHH tells Brock that if he doesn't want to do this, he understands.

HHH tells Lesnar to forget Laurinaitis because this is between the two of them. The original terms were fair, so will he agree? Laurinaitis tries to provide input, but HHH tells him to shut up. What a war at Extreme Rules. Don't think wrestling can be real? I beg to differ.... @CMPunk #kendostick

Cm Punk DVD news.

During an appearance on the Abe Kanan radio show, WWE Champion CM Punk said that Paul Heyman was recently interviewed for his upcoming DVD release. Punk also noted that Heyman will be coming to WWE Headquarters in Stamford to record commentary on some match with him as well. He also talked about how after his match at Survivor Series, he walked by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and said, "Follow that, asshole." Punk said he wasn't even sure if Rock knew who he was at the time and then referenced the photo of the two backstage at Wrestlemania 28 in Miami smiling noting he said the same thing. Punk mentioned by that point they had already "talked it out" and it was more of a joke.

Rough Travel for WWE Crews

Most of the WWE crew drove from Chicago, Illinois to Dayton, Ohio for tonight's RAW after Extreme Rules was over. A lot of them didn't arrive to their hotels until after 6am local time this morning.

Cody Rhodes and Big Show.

If you don't believe plans change within WWE on a regular basis, the t-shirt being sold for Extreme Rules last night in Chicago listed the Intercontinental Title Match between Cody Rhodes and Big Show as "Cody's Choice: Tables Match."

This indicates that before the shirts were printed, the plan was for Cody to pick the stipulation of a Tables Match. Sometime between then and Friday's SmackDown, WWE officials came up with the idea of the Roulette Wheel that we saw on the pre-show.

Layla on Becoming Diva's Champ.

New WWE Divas Champion Layla spoke with WWE's website after her win at Extreme Rules last night. Layla will be playing the babyface role this time around.

Face of WWE.

WWE's website points out that there is no "new face of WWE" after John Cena defeated Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules. They wrote:

"While the world waits to learn the fate of John Cena, who alluded to possibly “going away for a while” in the aftermath of the brawl on pay-per-view, the WWE Universe takes solace in knowing there will be no “new face of WWE.” On the contrary, in the fallout of Extreme Rules 2012, the face of WWE still features a tightly formed salute below the brim of a bright green hat. For now."

Extreme News.

The general consensus backstage last night at Extreme Rules was the pay-per-view came off well. The CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho and Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena matches received rave reviews.

There was a lot of chatter about Cena going over Lesnar in the main event. The feeling among most was that WWE should have waited before having Lesnar lose because getting a dominant former UFC Heavyweight Champion back on your roster doesn't happen often and now Lesnar appears as just another talent on the roster that has lost to Cena.

Cena and Lesnar to be on Raw tonight.

John Cena confirmed on Twitter this morning that he will be at tonight's WWE RAW Supershow from Dayton, Ohio.

Brock Lesnar has also been confirmed and will react to the loss at Extreme Rules.

Cena wrote:

"Making medical rounds now to find out what is up. I will be on #RAW to let everyone know. #nevergiveup"

Layle has returned.

Layla returned to WWE at tonight’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view, winning the WWE Divas Championship. Layla actually pinned Brie Bella when “twin magic” failed.

Layla was been off WWE TV since suffering a torn ACL and MCL in her right knee at the same pay-per-view last year that required surgery to repair.

Austin on Taker vs HHH.

"I don't watch all the WWE PPV events these days, but WrestleMania is always a must see. The Undertaker and Triple H match made it special. Going into it, I thought how will they better last year? How do you follow something like that? But they did. It was at about the 8-10 minute mark when I saw them dig beyond the solid work they had done and pull out all of the stops. Shawn Michaels was a real benefit there too. He was perfect in his referee role. I believe the match they had was off the charts. If it hadn't been for it, the event would have failed. It was very average until then."

the WWE return of Kharma is imminent. WWE officials plan on having her defeat Nikki Bella for the Divas Championship when she returns, and Kharma will eventually have a feud against "The Glamazon" Beth Phoenix. What's not known right now is exactly when all of this will happen.

If Nikki Bella does not lose the Divas Championship this Sunday night at Extreme Rules or the following night on Raw, then it could mean that The Bella Twins have signed new deals with WWE and will be sticking around, thus Nikki Bella might have some time with the Divas Championship before dropping it to the returning Kharma.

WWE Stars on Brock vs Cena.

WWE's website has a new article up with several Superstars reacting to Brock Lesnar's video promo from Monday's RAW where he claimed John Cena would be carrying his bags if he would have never left WWE years ago. Here are some quotes:

Booker T: "There's only one chief around here, and we all know who that is. I don't think one Superstar in WWE determines what goes on. I remember a promoter telling me a long time ago ... Years later, I now understand exactly what he was saying. He said: 'One monkey don't stop no show.' And that pretty much sums it up right there."

Goldust: "Whether you like him or hate him, you respect John Cena. He works his ass off day in and day out more than anybody else in this locker room, on the roster, period. What Brock said about Cena, I find that a bit distasteful. I don't believe for a second that if Brock didn't leave eight years ago that Cena wouldn't be where he's at today. I think that's bull. John Cena was destined to be a star."

William Regal: "There's no way that things would be the way they are if Brock had never left. I'm not saying that Cena wouldn't be the huge star that he is, but there's not room for two of them in the same universe. You can't have two people with that incredible ability, strength, desire, passion, and that Elvis quality – which is that magic quality that you only come across once in a million. And they've both got it. Usually, one fella has got to go, because when they collide, that's the way it plays out."

Matt Striker: "I think it's safe to say Brock is the most legitimate, most dangerous ass-kicker WWE has ever seen, and the one person that now really needs to reinvent himself and relearn his craft is Cena. Brock is not here to use armdrags and dropkicks. Brock is here to punch you in the face and snap your bones. We need to see what Cena is made of, and I believe at Extreme Rules, the whole world will find out."

News on Chris Jericho.

Even if Chris Jericho does leave WWE this summer to tour with his band Fozzy, he is fully expected to return to WWE once again after the tour is finished. This is by no means his "last run" with WWE and we certainly haven't seen the last of him in WWE after this summer.

Raw's rating.

This past Monday's three-hour edition of Monday Night Raw got a 3.06 in the ratings with about 4.42 million viewers. Here is a breakdown of the ratings for the whole show:

The John Cena/Edge segment got a surprisingly low 2.50 rating.

Chris Jericho vs. Kofi Kingston lost another 73,000 people.

The Brock Lesnar and CM Punk promos, as well as the Eve/Laurinaitis segment, gained more than 50,000 viewers.

R-Truth vs. Lord Tensai lost a small 3,000 viewers.

The Kane/Randy Orton/Paul Bearer segment gained a HUGE 865,000 viewers. This was at about the 9:00 mark, which is when Raw starts on a regular week.

Big Show/Great Khali vs. Cody Rhodes/Alberto Del Rio gained nearly 200,000 viewers.

The segment where Chris Jericho tried to convince Laurinaitis and Teddy Long that CM Punk was drunk lost over 110,000.

The Beth Phoenix/Nikki Bella Divas Title match gained a strong 437,000 viewers.

The CM Punk sobriety test gained about 270,000 viewers.

Sheamus vs. Mark Henry and then Ryder/Marella vs. Primo & Epico lost nearly 440,000 viewers, which is a big drop.

Kane putting Paul Bearer back into the freezer and then Abe Washington/Primo & Epico lost over 370,000 viewers.

Brodus Clay/Hornswoggle vs. Dolph Ziggler/Jack Swagger gained a decent 225,000 viewers.

The final segment between Brock Lesnar, John Laurinaitis, and John Cena gained a massive 873,000 viewers. It's also reported that the 15 minute overrun didn't lose viewers as it usually does.

WWE Bring Back Cruiserweight Division?

Fans may have noticed that Hornswoggle has become the new sidekick for "The Funkasaurus" Brodus Clay. This role was originally supposed to go to Santino Marella, and Brodus even saved Marella from an attack by Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger a few weeks ago on Raw. But the pairing of Clay and Marella has seemingly been dropped for unknown reasons.

WWE is looking all over the world for Cruiserweight wrestlers, especially Hispanic Luchadores. It's been reported over the past few months that WWE wants to do more for its Hispanic demographic, and that they have plans for a Cruiserweight Division on the upcoming WWE Network. WWE apparently already has a rather large list of wrestlers that they're interested in bringing in.

Main Event for Extreme Rules.

John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar is almost certain to close the Extreme Rules pay-per-view event on Sunday which would mean all the main events so far for WWE PPV's have been non-championship matches in 2012.

Reson for Edge appearing last night.

The reason WWE Hall of Famer Edge appeared on last night's WWE RAW Supershow was to negotiate his new contract with WWE officials. Edge's contract had been reported last week as coming to an end to which WWE had offered him a new deal however it was rumored to be substantially lower then that of fellow Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels who earns around $300,000 a year and a "little less" than Mick Foley.

News on Nikki Bella.

Nikki Bella winning the Divas Championship from Beth Phoenix last night on Monday Night Raw was planned for several weeks. This is all leading up to the return of Kharma, who will most likely destroy Nikki Bella and relieve her of the Divas Championship. WWE wants to save Kharma vs. Beth Phoenix for a later time.

Nikki was originally going to beat Beth for the Title at the upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view, but plans were pushed ahead for unknown reasons.

You may recall that Kharma's last appearance in WWE involved The Bella Twins, so the plan is indeed for Kharma to settle her unfinished business with The Bella Twins when she returns.

As for Beth Phoenix's ankle/leg injury last night, details are still somewhat sketchy as to whether it was legit and unscripted or if that was simply the plan for the match.

And as for The Bella Twins and the latest on their contract situation, it is possible that a new deal has been worked out, but as of last word, they were still expected to leave WWE when their deals expire soon.

News on Beth Phoenix's Injury.

“It looks like she affected her anterior talofibular ligament, which is the most common injured ankle ligament on an inversion injury,” Sampson told WWE.com. “She has some swelling, [and] she’s having a hard time walking or ambulating on it. We’re going to need an MRI just to make sure there’s nothing else going on and see how we can treat it – if we need surgery or if we can do it conservatively.”

Phoenix posted made the following comments on her twitter:

"Thank you to everyone that helped me thru the airport this morning. Will keep every posted on MRI and xray results. Believe me...nothing hurts worse than my heart right now after the loss and even worse thought of missing competition. But i have been bere before, and if there is one thing Beth Phoenix knows how to do, it's rise from the ashes. The title will be mine again. #unbreakable"

Reks and Hawkins failed to save their jobs.

Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins have failed to save their jobs after failing to get #SaveReksandHawkins trending worldwide on Twitter. John Laurinaitis told the pair that they would be re-hired following William Regal's decision to fire them on NXT if they could trend the term on twitter. The only place the term trended was in the United Kingdom.

New Tag Team coming to WWE.

Rumors are abound that since NXT talent Titus O'Neil and Darren Young have been moved to WWE's SmackDown brand as a tag team, a new team from Florida Championship Wrestling may make their debut on this week's edition of WWE NXT.

WWE releases Tough Enough winner.

WWE has released "Tough Enough" winner Andy Leavine, who had been working at Florida Championship Wrestling under the name Kevin Hackman.

Edge's WWE Contract.

It's being reported that the WWE contract of Adam Copeland, better known as "The Rated R Superstar" Edge, is about to expire, and it's currently uncertain if he will re-sign with the company.

Obviously he will never be able to physically wrestle again for WWE or any other wrestling promotion because of his injuries, but his name value alone could be an asset to other promotions, namely TNA Impact Wrestling.

He is scheduled to keep on working with the SyFy Channel on their show Haven, but there is no word yet on if he will re-sign with WWE, even if only for a Legends' Contract.

Finlay returning to WWE ??

Fit Finlay has been in talks with WWE about returning but he's currently working with Tajiri to help set up his new company over in Japan, as well as still working independent dates. No word yet where his talks with WWE stand but helping Tajiri is his main priority. Finlay is also still taking future independent dates so it appears a deal with WWE is not in place yet.

News on Tyler Reks.

Tyler Reks, who was fired on NXT by William Regal, wrote the following on Twitter this morning:

"Finishing out our contractual obligations on the Smackdown Euro Tour. Considering shaving my head when this is all over & starting fresh."

A fan asked if Reks was really leaving WWE and he replied with the following, mentioning John Laurinaitis: "Unless by some miracle, @WWERawGm decides otherwise..."

Draft news.

Next week's three-hour RAW Supershow was earmarked for the 2012 WWE Draft at one point but there has been talk that the three-hour show on June 11th from Hartford, CT will be the Draft but that's not confirmed.

There has also been talk of not even holding a Draft this year because most guys are on RAW every week anyway and some Superstars have been switching brands back and forth. There's a feeling that some Superstars like Randy Orton and Dolph Ziggler need a change of scenery but in Orton's case, he's needed to help draw at SmackDown live events.

Wrestlemania 29 Plans.

It's said that with the success of WrestleMania 28 coming out this past week, the chances of a rematch between John Cena and The Rock at WrestleMania 29 have increased. As of this week, WrestleMania 29 is scheduled to be headlined by The Rock vs. either Cena or Brock Lesnar.

Several factors will play into that decision, mainly where Lesnar stands at the end of this year, if he's better for business over Cena and more. WWE officials are reportedly unsure of Lesnar's future and how hot he will be come next January. While they originally wanted to have the WrestleMania 29 main event announced by now, word now is that it won't be decided on until around November of this year.

Lesnar sponsors.

As we have noted, Brock Lesnar negotiated a unique contract for his WWE return as he will be allowed to wear sponsors on his trunks and the t-shirts he wears each week. A source reports that Lesnar insisted this be part of the deal. He is the first performer Vince McMahon has ever allowed contractually to do so.

Matt Morgan returning to WWE ?

TNA Impact Wrestling star "The Blueprint" Matt Morgan recently told PWTorch Livecast that his contract with TNA expires in a year and that he could possibly see himself returning to WWE:

"I have another year left on my contract with TNA," he said. "My fifth of five years. I signed a five year deal with them four years ago. I believe in October it will be up. The way it works is I'm a businessman first and foremost, right? And you try to keep your options open as much as humanly possible. I did start with WWE. They gave me a lot of tools and a lot of knowledge and I was trained by some of the best big men this business has ever had and learned a lot of things from those people over there in WWE. So I was very very lucky."

"Unfortunately, unluckily I came there during a time when there was a revolving door. The day I got released I believe we lost 22 other guys in a two days span on a Thursday as well as Black Friday in 2005. I believe it was one of those wrong places, wrong time. Timing is everything in this sport."

"To say I wouldn't go back would be dumb on my part and it would be a lie," he said. "But at the same time, I really am - I know people don't like this answer who are pro-WWE and not so pro-TNA - but that's the truth, I am loyal to those who are loyal to me. The minute, the day TNA stops being as loyal to me as I feel I am being to them, that's a different discussion all to itself and I definitely would weigh my options a lot differently if and when that day ever came. But speaking right now, I'm happy for the most part with how TNA has been treating me and they've done a really good job with me the last four years."

"I think I've proven it was a mistake, but not a mistake because of the timing," he said. "Timing really is everything. If they have a roster, which they did at the time, full of guys in my age group - they were throwing so much crap against the wall to see what would stick, a lot of us weren't given a lot of time to stick against the wall, first and foremost, to see if something would come out of these characters they were trying to present so quickly. I mean, if you watch back those old Smackdowns and Raws from '03 to '05 or '06, you'd see a lot of guys I could easily see now becoming huge."

"Brock Lesnar coming back to WWE, that guy helped me a lot when I was first up there," Morgan said. "He is someone who helped me a lot work as a bigger guy, the psychology involved in working as a big guy. So did Undertaker, so did Kane, so did Big Show. And there's still some other dream matches out there that I want to happen before my career is up. So I guess I would weigh my options a hell of a lot more when that day comes. I'm a businessman first and foremost, to answer your question honestly. But at the same time, that's what my agent is for. I know there has been interest from that company. But at the same time I am loyal to TNA for now."

"I went from, you know, a body guard to being Cornette's lackey to making these awful matches on Impact and getting in trouble and having him scream at me on national television. But I was in a suit and was first brought on to speak, so these fans right away got to understand Matt can hold his own on the mic, this kid can talk, he's not relying on his physicality, not relying on flexing every ten seconds, not relying on being 6-11, 328 pounds of muscle like every other meathead in this business relies on. So that was a good lesson for me because I got introduced for my verbal skills for the most part. And when it was time to transition me to a wrestler, it was easier from that point moving forward. The fans had something to sink their teeth into somewhat because they understood me as a character first and foremost as opposed to another big guy who's really in good shape, let's say, like so many other big guys. We added a few good layers to my character over the years, and as long as they keep doing that, I have no reason to leave TNA, so to say."

Smackdown staying on Fridays.

After recent live SmackDown specials that have disappointed in the ratings, there are currently no plans at all to move Friday Night SmackDown to Tuesdays and keep it as a live show.

Mania buyrate.

WWE announced this past week that WrestleMania did 1.3 million pay-per-view buys. It's important to note that a more solid number of buys won't be known until May/June when WWE releases their next SEC filing. Even then the exact number won't be known because minor adjustments will be made over the course of the year.
