Daniel Bryan interview.
Daniel Bryan recently sat down with CT.com for an in-depth interview. Here are some highlights:
In the GQ.com interview, you said a similar thing about how that there's no time to heal because you've got a week between shows. Are you in any pain constantly?
Well, for right now, I'm not in any pain whatsoever. It's just times when you have a nagging injury and you don't have any time off, that's when that nagging injury can become something like, 'Oh, it's hard to sleep because this is bothering me.'
How do you keep from getting burnt out on all this? Even if you have your hobbies, this is a pretty rigorous schedule, and you have so many obligations. How do you mentally separate yourself from this very demanding schedule?
I don't really feel like it's that grueling. The most grueling part to me is waking up at 6 a.m. to take a flight because it's hard for me to get back to sleep. As long as I'm not flying, it's not grueling for me at all. I enjoy being on the road. I'm a gentleman of the road!
Before your match with CM Punk at WWE Over the Limit, Punk did an interview where he did an impression of Vince McMahon. He said that a decade ago, Vince wouldn't have ever imagined a match between you two being one of his main events. How accurate do you think that portrayal of what he thought is?
Oh, I think one year ago he would have said that. One year ago, he would have been like, 'Daniel Bryan's going to be in a WWE Championship match at a pay-per-view? [Incredulously] No! Against CM Punk? No!' [Laughs] I'm absolutely certain that's correct. The 10-year time frame is a little longer than it should have been. He could have said a year ago and been accurate.
What do you talk about when you talk to other wrestlers about your character?
I don't know. The only person I really talk to a lot about it is William Regal, and that's because he's been my mentor since I was young. For me, it's been hard adjusting to television — not necessarily the wrestling but the television aspect of it and directing things toward the camera and making sure that the camera picks up your face and stuff like that. All that's really important.
What kind of goals do you have for your wrestling career? Putting aside winning the WWE Championship or main eventing WrestleMania, do you want to stay within the business for a long time or have any other specific goal?
Well, for me, it's all about enjoying my life. I don't have a specific goal set like that necessarily. I just want to, at the end of my life, look back on it and be like, 'Yeah, I enjoyed that,' because as far as we know, we only get one life, and I want it to be good. I don't want to waste it. I wrestle because I love to wrestle, so for me, [my goal is] to keep enjoying it. You see a lot of people lose their passion for it, and I don't ever want that to happen.

Sharmell speaks on the Nitro Girls.
WWE's website has a new interview up with former WWE Diva Sharmell. Sharmell discusses The WCW Nitro Girls - a dance group she was involved in years ago during the Monday Night Wars.
"We had to be on point and perfect every night because we knew the whole world was going to see it. And every week we had a different [live] audience, so we never knew what to expect. All of that just added to the excitement of performing on Nitro. The electricity from the fans, the desire to be perfect … that’s what made the Nitro Girls so memorable."
The wife of Booker T talked about former Nitro Girl Stacy Keibler.
"I don’t think WCW management realized that the Nitro Girls would eventually become as popular as we did. When we held that contest, there were a lot of girls that really wanted to be Nitro Girls. We had the competitions in different cities and the auditions were packed, but we were fortunate to get Stacy. She won fair and square, and no one could have predicted the impact she would have on wrestling and pop culture."
Sharmell feels The Nitro Girls could have a place in WWE today.
"I really think we were ground-breaking, especially in sports-entertainment.We had calendars, magazines and videos of our own. We really made an impact. There are a number of talented Divas competing today, but I really feel that a group like the Nitro Girls could bring an extra level of excitement to WWE."

JBL on returning to WWE.
TMZ reports today that WWE is sponsoring his whole 7 Summits trip and will be promoting it online through their social media accounts. JBL has been planning to climb the highest peak on each continent to help raise money for a charity in Bermuda. JBL was going to pay for the trips on his own but TMZ reports that WWE has given the project a quarter-million dollar boost.
The trek will take JBL between 2 and 3 years. It was going to cost him upwards of $250,000 but that problem is solved thanks to WWE.
On Twitter, JBL added that WWE will be promoting his new project in a big way. A fan asked if he would be returning to WWE and he replied:
"I think it's safe to say after announcement today on tmz that it's highly likely"

Ryback's blackeye.
Daniel Bryan recently spoke with CT.com and was asked if he has a "road wife" in WWE or a travel partner. Bryan revealed that he travels with Cody Rhodes and Ryback, who you may remember appeared on WWE TV two weeks ago with a nasty black eye. It's not clear if this is one of the made up stories that Bryan is talking about but below, he tells a story about Ryback's black eye:
"Right now, my road wife is the Ryback [Laughs] and Cody Rhodes. We don't have any particular good road stories because I feel like we're kind of boring. We just kind of drive to the next town. But what me and Cody really like to do is make up stories about the Ryback and then spread them amongst the locker room. For example, yesterday, we were working out in a gym. He was doing kettle bell snatches with only 35 pounds. You look at him, and you'd think, 'Oh! This guy is way stronger,' but he was lifting this kettle bell and he couldn't control it, and it hit him in the eye and now he's got a black eye. That story spread throughout the locker room all day yesterday."

Magnus asked if he would ever go to WWE .
Speaking to Greg Lambert for Power Slam, Magnus was asked if he sees himself in WWE in the future. Lambert reasons he is 25 years old, can talk and meets their size requirements.
“I’ve been asked that many times. I’d be lying if I said that wasn’t my ultimate goal when I first got into the business. But while I’m under contract here, I will do my job to the best of my abilities. But in this business, things change all the time. One day, you’re happy and, the next day, you’re furious,” Magnus says.
“I would consider [the WWE] option, if the circumstances were great—but at the moment, I am happy in TNA. At the end of 2011, I was at the end of my rope. But then I got to work with [Samoa] Joe, and I’ve been used as a top guy in India for Ring Ka King. I’m getting to work with some of the best talent in the world. It’s early in my career, and this is the best place for me. If I’d gone to WWE from the start, I would be surrounded by people who are just like me. Here, I am surrounded by the best talent, and that’s the best way for me to learn an improve.”

TNA's lawsuit against WWE.
Representatives from WWE and TNA had a conference yesterday regarding TNA's lawsuit against WWE. There is a temporary injunction hearing set for July 11th. TNA still has a temporary restraining order against Brian Wittenstein and WWE. There was a big process where WWE's servers, the laptops of John Laurinaitis and others were looked at by WWE IT for any wrongdoing. IT reported back that the TNA information from Wittenstein was not found on his company provided Blackberry or laptop. IT also went through their servers and e-mail boxes of 27 employees that worked in creative and talent relations. They did not find that the information from Wittenstein had been sent out over their servers.
Once the lawsuit was filed by TNA, WWE says they did due-diligence, searched again and concluded that the TNA information from Wittenstein was never on their servers or used by their employees. They noted that the laptop and e-mail server used by John Laurinaitis was also checked and the information was never on there. WWE feels TNA has no basis for a lawsuit, based on those searches. WWE says they never had the information from Wittenstein and the only time it was seen was when Wittenstein brought them a print out and a CD with information he had collected while working for TNA.
TNA wants the situation resolved immediately. They feel that they have been wronged, damage has been done and they want to make sure no talent problems come out of this. They wanted statements from Triple H, John Laurinaitis and others yesterday but likely scheduling conflicts are putting that on hold. While the case has been continued, both WWE and TNA are still under the court order that was previously set.
PWInsider reports that Wittenstein has not been served the lawsuit yet. People that have spoken to Wittenstein say they felt no sense of alarm or worry from him. Wittenstein does have a lawyer that TNA has been in contact with but he was not represented in court yesterday, for what it's worth.

WWE officials have been discussing a major change that may be implemented soon for talents who fail Wellness Tests. In the future, the company may start announcing what caused the talents to test positive. The hope is that if they start to announce what substances the wrestlers tests positive for, it may discourage other talents from taking banned substances.

More on Randy Orton.
.Reports came out from SuperLuchas on Monday that Randy Orton's WWE future was up in the air after meeting with Vince McMahon, Triple H and Kevin Dunn at WWE headquarters on Friday. The report stated that the meeting's atmosphere was "hostile" and it was determined a further decision concerning Orton awaits. SuperLuchas says that several WWE officials were lobbying for Orton's termination as a cost-cutting measure.
PWInsider now reports that WWE officials indeed met with Orton over the weekend and there is definitely talk about not bringing him back as soon as his suspension is over. Their report doesn't mention Orton being terminated but the idea would be to make Orton "sit it out and stew" once the suspension is over.
We noted earlier that one change coming out of the Orton suspension is WWE may start announcing which banned substances talents test positive for. One temporary change we will see is a lot of the RAW Superstars working SmackDown tours this summer while Orton is away. Rey Mysterio will be returning in a few weeks to add some depth to SmackDown but expect to see guys like Kofi Kingston, R-Truth and Zack Ryder work a lot of the upcoming SmackDown live events. John Cena and CM Punk have already been booked for upcoming SmackDown tapings.

Raw will expand to a three-hour show, starting with the 1,000th episode on July 23 at 8/7 CT on USA Network. Of WWE employees broached on the subject by PWInsider.com, no one had a positive feeling on the addition of one hour to Raw. Rather, those talked to are “genuinely concerned” about the harm making it a three-hour show on a weekly basis could do to the WWE product.

Earl Hebner interview.
Earl Hebner was interviewed for Tha O Show. Here are some highlights.
On what exactly happened when he and his brother, Dave Hebner, were fired by WWE: "Well, I'm going to tell you the truth and whether anyone believes it doesn't mean a s--t to me. Johnny (Laurinaitis) had a hard-on for my brother. He wanted to fire my brother. I owned a shirt shop in St. Louis. Whatever we had in the shop -- and I was not there that often -- was legal. It was the same merchandise that WWE bought.
They used me as the scapegoat. I've had offers to come back there but I'm not going back there. That's the whole story. It's a big lie that I was doing what they said I was doing. Johnny wanted to get rid of my brother and I was the scapegoat when they told me I was making illegal merchandise.
I've had offers to come back to WWE but I won't go back because I feel if I went back there, they'd only be hiring me to get me out of TNA. Because, the ref that myself and (my son) Brian -- they'd get us down there, find another loop hole and we'd be out of a job. I love TNA to begin with because they're truthful, honest and straight up.
There's so much bulls--t up at WWE it's unreal. So, I don't need to go back there. My time is limited. I've probably got two years -- maybe I could stay to 2014 if I want to stay -- but right now, my plans are to leave in 2013.
On whether or not he considered suing WWE: "No. It's not worth the aggravation. I'd be wasting my money, spinning on wheels because they got kahoots with this guy, that guy and the other guy. It was better for me to just walk off and say, 'Thank you very much. I'm gone.'
I could have fought it but I'm not going to waste my money. All the loopholes that Vince McMahon knows, with all the lawyers and bulls--t, it'd probably cost me more than it was worth. So, the best thing was for me to just leave. I'm glad I did and I'm happy where I'm at.
TNA picked me up out of the the blue and it's been great there. It's like a tweeted a while back: When I leave, I'll leave my boots and my shoes hanging on TNA wrestling ropes. I'll be finished, I'll be gone. I will never go back to WWE.
On a t-shirt he sells that says "Damn Right I Did" that he sometimes wears and shows off when fans chant "You Screwed Bret": "When they chant that, I pull my referee shirt off and it says, 'Damn Right I Did" and I'm making a lot of money off that.
It is what it is. I'm making money off it. They can chant it all night long and it's making my money. I love it. ... It's great. It's about 15-years-old. I'm selling anywhere from 50-80 shirts a night at the house shows. We're going to Canada June 23rd and 24th, I hope I sell 10,000 shirts over there. They can either s--t on them, burn them or keep them. I don't care. As long as they buy them -- that's all I care about.

They can either s--t on them, burn them or keep them. I don't care. As long as they buy them -- that's all I care about.

More on Randy Orton.
A WWE source described the meeting's atmosphere as "hostile;" it was determined that a further decision concerning Orton awaits. The report adds there are "several" officials lobbying for his termination as a cost-cutting measure. They feel his lucrative ten-year contract—signed in January 2010—can no longer be justified if he is brought back in a mid-level role. His second suspension hinders WWE from continuing to feature Orton in headline role since a third drug-testing policy infraction would result in automatic termination.
McMahon is especially infuriated with Orton, who felt he had matured in recent years. The nine-time world champion's suspension reportedly stems from a positive drug test for the anabolic steroid Dianabol, which is banned by the United States Congress under its Controlled Substances Act. He also reportedly tested positive for marijuana, which is subject to a $2,500 fine.
