Cena on exposing "notes" on The Rock's arm during Raw

"That was something I saw right there. I wouldn't have even said anything if I didn't see it. When I watch TV and I'm in the 'Gorilla Position,' which is right before you go through the curtain, and they have a TV there... I couldn't believe it. Once I saw it the words became bigger and larger and his body was covered in words. It was like, I couldn't ignore it. It became like the giant mole on the face. I had to."

CM Punk Interview: MMA, Chris Jericho, More

CM Punk, a year ago at this time, considering your contract situation with WWE, did you think you would be in this spot, defending the world title at Wrestlemania 28?

CM Punk: No, because I was leaving. At Wrestlemania last year -- and I always say I thrive in high-pressure situations -- my job was to steal the show and prove to everybody how awesome I was and what an amazing talent they were losing. I went out there with Randy [Orton] and we put on, in my opinion, the best match on the show of pure wrestling. I wasn't concerned about what I was doing next year. I was leaving in my mind. I didn't think I would still be here or holding the title.

Mixed Martial Arts has become a big part of your life. Has that altered your style of wrestling at all or helped with in-ring ability?

Punk: Yes and no. It's hard to try to translate a lot of stuff. I prefer to throw kicks and elbows instead of punches, but that was always a part of me. But I've always been a fan, so I don't know if that stems from MMA. But I try to keep my pro wrestling, pro wrestling.

You mentioned Chris Jericho has never been "The Man" like you've been. Can you elaborate? Jericho has held world titles in the past.

Punk: Sure, but there's always, I think, somebody that has overshadowed him. I guess an argument can be made that John Cena is still "The Man." But the numbers don't lie with merchandising, ratings and everything else. We're not trying to hotshot the title around or play hot potato with it. We're giving people a champion they can believe in. And Jericho was never really that guy. He was never really, I guess, the ambassador John Cena has been and that I've been lately. That's what I meant by that.

Kamala update.

WWE legend Kamala is at risk of losing another foot due to his diabetes-related medical problems -- this according to his son.

In the meantime, the wrestler's son says Kamala is still checking his Facebook page ... and really appreciates words of encouragement from his fans.

The Rock on working with John Cena

"I came back to put on the biggest match of all time. That's all I want to do. There's no one I can do that with right now other than John. He's far and above everyone else in terms of popularity. He's the guy. Is he Stone Cold? No. Is he Hogan? No. But he is John Cena and he's been on top for a long time now."

CM Punk’s music hits and the WWE Champion makes his way down to the ring. He starts by saying that Chris Jericho is not here tonight, which just goes to show the kind of man that Jericho is. Last week, when Jericho said that Punk’s father was an alcoholic, it pissed Punk off. His problem is with the fact that it is not Jericho’s business. He doesn’t necessarily have a problem with Jericho saying it, or how he said it, but the fact that he said it in front of the entire world. Punk says that there isn’t anyone who hasn’t been affected in some way by the disease of alcoholism. Punk says that Jericho said what he said to try and gain some sort of advantage. Punk says that Jericho’s strategy has backfired, because if there is a monster inside of him then he is going to let it out at WrestleMania. Punk wisely tells the crowd, “don’t let your past nightmares cloud your future dreams.” Punk says that his father has overcome his demons and has worked hard to become sober. Punk is proud of his father, and he is proud of being Straight Edge. Punk says that at WrestleMania, Jericho is his obstacle and he will go right through him. Punk starts to leave the ring.

Chris Jericho appears on the Titantron via satellite. Jericho says that he was out of line for what he said last week and he is sorry. Jericho says that he is saying this as Chris Jericho the person and without bravado. It was none of his business, and he is sorry that he brought it up. He hopes that Punk will forgive him. Jericho gives Punk his word that he won’t talk about his father again.

But Punk’s sister? Punk’s sister has a problem with substance abuse. She will do anything to get her fix. Punk’s father is an alcoholic; his sister is a drug addict, which means that Punk is predisposed to drink. The good news is that addiction can be overcome. The bad news is that Jericho says that when he beats Punk at WrestleMania, that will be something that he will never overcome. Punk calls Jericho a piece of shit, and says that that is exactly what he is going to beat out of him.

Shawn Michaels’ music hits and he makes his way down to the ring. He says that everyone wants to know what is going to happen when HHH faces The Undertaker. He says that you have to tune in to WrestleMania to find out. Shawn says that the other question on people’s minds is whether or not he can be an impartial referee. Before he answers that question, Michaels starts to talk about The Undertaker. He claims that the whole end of an era motif is really just another way of saying the end of the streak.

The Undertaker’s music hits and he makes his way slowly down to the ring. Shawn tries to cut him off before he can start talking, but Taker says that he did enough talking last week. It is in his best interests to shut up and listen. Taker has already told him that this match has to remain pure. So before Shawn and his buddy start making plans –

“Time to play The Game”! HHH’s music hits and he walks down to the ring. This week, HHH is not in a suit, but jeans and a T-shirt. HHH tells Taker to stop worrying about Shawn because despite his ego, this match isn’t about him. As Taker has said, it is the destiny of HHH and Taker to face each other. They will meet in the most demonic structure in the history of the WWE, Hell in a Cell. There have only been 24 Hell in a Cell matches since its inception. Combined, they have been in 19 of the Cell matches. HHH learned in the Cell how to push the limits of human endurance, and what it takes to end another man’s career. HHH says that it is where he thrives and where he excels. The whole world is going to see an end of an era – Taker’s. HHH says he knows exactly what he needs to do to finish the job.

Taker asks if he is sure. Because HHH’s mind, body, soul, wife and kids, everything – is he willing to put it all on the line? HHH says that if it means giving Taker the end that he deserves, then he is willing to sacrifice everything. And he will. Taker and HHH stare each other down. Taker backs away and goes to exit the ring. Taker takes a moment and steps back towards HHH. He asks if HHH remembers when he said Shawn was better than HHH – because he is! Taker’s music hits and he exits the ring. HHH stares gruffly at his former DX partner as RAW goes off the air.

HBK interview.

Shawn Michaels appeared on ESPN Radio's "Fantasy Baseball Focus" podcast and was asked if he is tempted to return to the ring. Here is what he said:

He said the following about his ref role for the Triple H vs. Undertaker WrestleMania 28 match.

"There's a chance - I can tell you here that I'm going to try to be objective, but then you get out there and then I'm in a conflict with myself - I'm Mr. Hall of Fame and I'm Mr. WrestleMania and I'm so used to having the spotlight on me - am I going to be able to share it with these other two guys? That is a lot to put on a man," Michaels said, being playful at the end. Michaels also joked that he'll have to review the Hell in a Cell rulebook, but at least he can still count to three. "My children help me out with that on a regular basis."

Michaels also said he likes the direction that the John Cena/Rock feud has taken, comparing it to his "personal feud" with Bret Hart and saying WWE has lost "that kind of competition."

"Sometimes, I feel like WWE has lost that in a lot of respects. John and Rock have brought back what somebody like me used to do on a regular basis back in the day," Michaels said. "I think it's refreshing, it's good, good for business, and good for them to bring out the best in each other. There's nothing wrong with making it personal; that's better business, whether people like it or not."

"At #WrestleMania28 @EveMarieTorres and I will even send u an autograph @mariamenounos...after I send u to the hospital. #GlamaMania"

Bret Hart Reveals That He Hated His HOF Speech.

His speech he gave when he was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2006. Why did he dislike his speech so much, what does he think he could have done to make the speech better:

“I hated it. I wasn’t out of my shell yet as far as public speaking. I was really nervous to get up and address all the things that happened with my brother Owen, me and Vince McMahon, so many things I had to talk about for the first time in front of a large crowd. I wished that I could have gone up and did it and done it over again like a second try. I just kinda rambled. I wish I could do it over again”

-Elaborates on the funny story he talked about during his Hall of Fame speech where the Hart Foundation gave the “Hart Attack” to Vince McMahon.. what he says in this interview and what wasn’t said in the speech was what Vince told Bret after the move was executed.

-Speaking about his appearance at Wrestlemania 2 in 1986 where he participated in the 20 Man Over The Top Battle Royal , this marked the first time he appeared at a Wrestlemania. What was the atmosphere like at Wrestlemania 2, also speaking about Andre The Giant’s dislike of the NFL Football Players that participated in the match as well:

“It was interesting. They always had something different then each one. The 3 cities, and the wrestlers watching the Pay Per View, I was in Chicago. What I always remember most was Andre and the battle royal. He (Andre The Giant ) really hated the football players. He didn’t like any of them. He kinda made a point of being more friendlier with guys like me and Jim “The Anvil”. He was always doing what he could to make us look good, which worked out of us”

-Participating at Wrestlemania IV, where he once again competed in the 20 Man Over The Top Rope Battle Royal. Speaks about how he had a hard time smashing the trophy at the end.

-The one and only guy he seriously injured in pro wrestling and how it happened.

“(At Survivor Series 1995), I took out the Spanish announcer (as he fell into their table), I blew his knee out with my head. They should have took him away in a ambulance, he was all messed up, in great pain. I feel terrible about it. I hurt that poor Spanish commentator. I always felt really bad about it he was a really nice guy. I think I really messed his knee up.”

WrestleMania 2 flashback.

WrestleMania 2 emanated from three arenas: Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, the Rosemont Horizon in Rosemont, Illinois and the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California.

In the first match of the show and the New York arena, Paul Orndorff faced The Magnificent Don Muraco. Both men fought to a double countout.

Next was a WWF Intercontinental Championship match between Randy Savage and George Steele. Savage was seconded by his real-life wife Miss Elizabeth. He pinned Steele with a roll-up and put his both feet on the ropes for leverage. As a result, Savage retained the Intercontinental title.

The third match from the Coliseum was between Jake Roberts and George Wells. He hit a DDT on Wells and pinned him to win the match. After the match, Roberts allowed his snake Damian to slither over Wells, who vomited.

The first main event of WrestleMania 2 was a boxing match between Mr. T and Roddy Piper. T was seconded by real life boxer Joe Frazier. Piper was disqualified for bodyslamming T at 1:15 in the fourth round.

Oklahoma bands Pro Wrestling

The Oklahoma Athletic Commission has banned all “combative sports” (pro wrestling, MMA, and boxing) indefinitely. The banning which comes into effect from March 31st is a direct results of an impending lawuit from UFC who want to appeal against a 4% pay-per-view tax imposed by the state. The ruling is expected to effect 200 events that happen each year across Oklahoma.

Oklahoma's own Jim Ross retweed this WNS news item and said "The Game's Not Over" and added: "I think things will be rectified in a good way.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin Interview: Rock's Heat, CM Punk,

Talent Having Problems with The Rock returning: "My thoughts on that are, you earn what you get in this business. Rock has earned the ability to come and go as he wants, because the business still needs him, it can still use him, and it can elevate the profile with having such a mainstream guy there. I don't know about the promos between John (Cena) and Rock. I think some of them have gotten kind of personal, you wonder how much of it's a work and how much of it's a shoot. At the end of the day, it's a worked business. Again, I think it's a good thing for Rock to be involved with this. He's earned his right to come and go and do whatever he wants."

Current talent being vocal to creative: "(CM) Punk was a guy, and is a guy who, man, that guy flew by the seat of his pants. He was pissed off, he vented, he cuts great promos. He worked himself out of a bad situation into a great situation. He knew when it was time to pick his spot, when he contract was gonna be up. That guy's been around the horn a few times, and he's been kicked around a little bit. He saw how the other guys were being treated, and he needed, and deserved, and earned the right to be treated in that same fashion. Guys, you gotta pick your spot, but you gotta be vocal. It is a very interesting machine these days. They need voices to question them. They need voices to inspire them, or fuel them, to rethink some of the things that they're doing and make it a better product."

Returning under the right circumstances: "There's nothing up in the air for me. If there's something that presents itself as a business opportunity, then I have an open ear to listen to it. It would have to be right for myself, my opponent, and obviously the company. I'm not lobbying for another match. There's always talk. People ask, 'am I capable of having another match?' Yeah. If I was in a bad situation, I would get back in the ring full time if I had to, but I don't have to. I'm happy doing what I'm doing."

News on Wade Barrett

WWE plans on giving Wade Barrett a big push when he returns from his injuries.

It's being said that he was penciled in to be the winner of the 2012 WWE Money In The Bank Match, even though WWE can't seem to decide when they want to even have the MITB.

It's also being said that WWE may hold of the MITB until the SummerSlam PPV, just for Wade Barrett's victory alone after he returns from his injury, which is expected to be some time around July.

In the ring, Otunga starts off against Santino. Otunga is met with a hip toss, and Santino reaches for the Cobra. Henry is in off of a quick tag, and hits the World’s Strongest Slam. This match is over.

“Invincible”, one of the theme songs for WrestleMania, is blasted over the speakers as its artist, Machine Gun Kelly, is shown in the crowd.

I’m just a Sexy Boy! Shawn Michaels makes his way down to the ring for his confrontation with The Undertaker. Shawn takes his time to soak up the crowd. He grabs a microphone and reminds everyone that he is the special guest referee for the HHH/Taker match. Shawn then shows a clip of HHH saying that Shawn is a failure. Apparently, that is the rational for HHH accepting the match at ‘mania. HBK says that no one in the locker room has called him a failure. He then calls out Taker in order to settle this dispute.

The Undertaker’s music hits, and he slowly makes his way down to the ring. Shawn says that if Taker is saying things behind his back, then he should at least have the guts to say it to his face. Taker asks what he wants him to say - that Shawn is a failure? A loser? That he couldn’t get the job done? Taker tells him to stop and think, is he repeating Taker’s words, or just the words chosen for him by HHH? Whatever the case may be, Shawn needs to let go of his insecurities.

Shawn counters by pointing out that Taker is the one who begged for this match against HHH. The reason is that HHH almost beat him last year, so Taker needs the validation of winning the match this year. Taker says that win or lose at WrestleMania, he is prepared to accept the outcome. What he is not prepared to accept is Michaels sticking his ego into this match. Taker says that WrestleMania is about destiny and an end to an era. What can’t happen is for the outcome to not be pure. If the outcome isn’t pure, Taker promises that there will be hell to pay. Michaels says that Taker may call all of this destiny, but it is really irony. It’s ironic that the guy whose career Taker ended, could be the guy that can turn Taker into a loser and a failure. Taker says that if Shawn doesn’t do the right thing, then he will end him.

Michaels gives him a pat on the arm, and then walks out of the ring. At the top of the ramp, Michaels is greeted by HHH. The Game smiles, gives a crotch chop, and then heads to the back.

****Commercial****

James Roday is introduced as the special guest ring announcer. He comes out with a Road Dogg style crotch chop. He gets in the ring, and soaks up the crowd. He introduces the competitors for the next match. If Miz wins, he will be on the WrestleMania card.

The Miz v. CM Punk

They square off and Punk connects with a couple of kicks. He charges, but Miz hits him in the gut with a knee.

****Commercial****

Back from the break, Punk springboards into the ring with a clothesline. He follows with a swinging neckbreaker. Punk slams Miz down to the side, and calls for the GTS. Miz tries to get in some offense, but Punk goes for a cover. Miz kicks out, and then plants Punk with a DDT. Miz is furious, and pounds on Punk’s head. Miz takes to the top rope, and then takes flight. Punk moves out of the way and tries for the GTS. Miz counters into a Skull Crushing Finale attempt. Punk drops down to the mat and rolls into the Anaconda Vice. Miz taps!

Winner via Anaconda Vice: CM Punk

Jericho appears on the Titantron, and says that he has a deep dark secret about Punk to reveal. Everyone knows that Punk is straight edge, but he’s never told the WWE Universe the reason that he Punk is straight edge. Punk’s father was an alcoholic that let him down. Punk is straight edge because he doesn’t want to become like his father. Jericho asks if the pain of wanting to drink is so bad that the pain of the tattoo needle is the only way to replace that desire. Jericho is going to make him drink. He is going to take away his title and all of his bravado. It’s going to make Punk want to drink. Jericho will leave WrestleMania as a Champion. Punk will be left like his father - a pathetic, damn, drunk. Punk looks absolutely stunned as he picks up his Title and heads to the back.

Jack Swagger v. Randy Orton

Orton follows after and slams Swagger’s head against the announce table. Orton slides him back into the ring as we go to commercial.

****Commercial****

Back from the break, Swagger goes for a cover. Orton kicks out. Swagger is working on the legs of Orton and tries for the Ankle Lock. Orton is able to get to his feet and sets up Swagger on the turnbuckle. Orton takes Swagger all the way up to the top rope for a HUGE Superplex! Swagger gets to his feet and his caught with a snap scoop slam. Orton hits the suspended DDT, and then begins to pound on the mat. Orton hits the RKO! This match is over.

Winner via RKO: Randy Orton

Kane’s pyro erupts from the ring posts as Orton is celebrating his victory. Orton looks around on all sides trying to find Kane. The Big Red Machine doesn’t appear.

“If you Smelllllllllllll”! The Rock makes his way down to the ring with his trusty guitar.

Finally The Rock has come back to Cleveland! The Rock says that John Cena looks like a cross between Vanilla Ice & a Teletubby. Rock says that tonight isn’t about a two minute rap, because everyone knows that Cleveland Rocks. The first song is set to “Jailhouse Rock” by Elvis Presley. He throws in lines about Rock being a fruity pebble and needing a rectal exam. Rock also points out that Cena may have made out with Eve, but he has a wife. It must have slipped his mind, while he was slipping her his tongue. Rock says that Cena has lady parts, and then takes a break to get a drink of water. The crowd applauds his song.

The Rock asks if there are any grown men in the audience who are actually John Cena fans. He sees a couple, and asks the crowd if he should go after them. They roar their approval. He begins to sing again and says that they’ll never taste pie, and refers to them as 42 year old virgins. Rock then sings a song to the ladies in the audience. He makes a joke about getting with Cena’s mom, and then wraps up with the fans shouting “Cleveland Rocks”.

Rock sets down the guitar and says that there is only one way to end the concert, and this song is for the people. It’s for the millions of The Rock’s fans who stand side by side and support him. An accompaniment track plays, “We Will Rock You” by Queen. The Rock’s lyrics are actually on the Titantron for this one. Rock gets up on the turnbuckle and closes the show with a big, “If you smell – what The Rock is cooking”. RAW goes off the air as Brian May’s iconic guitar solo blasts through the arena.
